Flávia Vieira is a full professor at the Institute of Education, University of Minho (Braga, Portugal). She has an MA in Education and a PhD in Education. She has worked and published in the fields of autonomy in  education, reflective teacher education, and pedagogy at university. Since 2000 she has been involved in projects aimed at fostering a scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) in academic settings through the articulation of teaching, research and professional development. She is a member of the university’s center for the development of teaching and learning (Center IDEA-UMINHO), where she participates in activities related with faculty development and pedagogical innovation. Her contribution to the Erasmus project comes from her experience as a teacher educator and her engagement with student-centered innovation.
